「From bad to worse」
<英語でdefinition!> Becoming more and more unacceptable.
“bad（悪い）状態からworse（もっと悪い）状態へ”。つまりこの表現は、「もともと悪い状況/状態にあったものがさらに悪化すること」を言います。
例文 Ayumi’s English grades have gone from bad to worse - 50% last semester, to only 31% this semester.

| Richard: | Are we to be joined by Chris – you know, the Quality Control manager? |
| Sarah: | He’s tied up in a meeting until 10, and he joins you after it finishes. |
| Richard: | After the inspection, I meet with the Operations manager, right? |
| Sarah: | Yes. From 12 you see him to discuss the various staffing problems he has. And after lunch, you’ll be given a quick demonstration of the newly installed automated spray-painting equipment. |
| Richard: | And I requested some time to see their accounts. |
| Sarah: | That’s the last thing you do there. Then, you’ll be driven back here in time for your 5pm appointment with Mr Green. |
| Richard: | Thanks Sarah. I’ll let you get back to your work now. |
