| Sam: | Are you ok Emma, you look a bit off colour today? |
| Emma: | You might be right. I didn’t get much sleep. I heard some bad news last night, and to tell the truth it has made me feel blue. |
| Sam: | Sorry to hear that. Do you want to talk about it? |
| Emma: | It might help, I suppose. Well, it was about 3am this morning - of course I was asleep – when I got a call. Being woken up in the middle of the night makes me see red. I hate having my sleep disturbed! |
| Sam: | Me too! |
| Emma: | Anyway, I picked up the phone, and on the other end was my mother. We speak on the phone once in a blue moon. Last time was probably 9 or 10 years ago. |
| Sam: | That’s right. You two aren’t close. So, I suppose you were fearing the worst. Usually calls from out of the blue mean bad news. |
| Emma: | Right! Well, she was calling to tell me that my grandmother - her mother - had passed away. |
| Sam: | I am sorry to hear that. |
| Emma: | It’s not that which has made me feel blue. |
| Sam: | eh? |
| Emma: | My grandmother has left me no money in her will. She changed it so that my brother is to get my share as well as his - a large sum of money! |
| Sam: | So, why has she left none to you? |
| Emma: | I suspect it’s because I was bad when I was younger, but my brother was always as good as gold. I had plans for that money. I was going to use it to start my own business. Now that’s become impossible! |
| Sam: | Well, he must be tickled pink to receive that money. |
| Emma: | Yes, but I have given my lawyer the green light to start looking into ways to get my share. He won’t be so tickled pink then! |
