「Take it out on」
「人に～しないように強く説得する」という意味です。
前回ご紹介した“Talk me into doing”は “～することを強く説得する”という意味でした。今回は「into doing」ではなく、「out of doing」ですので前回とは逆の意味、“「～しないように」強く説得する”となります。
Meaning:To strongly persuade someone to not do something.
Example:I have tried to talk Wayne out of quitting his job at the bank. I think it would be a big mistake!

| Ben: | What a nightmare! If that was me, I would have left. Anyway, you’ll never guess who I bumped into leaving my hotel one morning. Craig! Craig who used to work in accounts. |
| Lee: | Really? I can’t believe it! How’s he getting on? |
| Ben: | He was his same old self, you know, messy hair and bad jokes! I’ll try and remember one of the better ones. |
| Lee: | Good luck! You’ve never successfully remembered one yet! |
| Ben: | Ha ha. Anyway, we went out for a drink that night, and I ended up back at the house of a very charming lady. We spent the rest of my holiday together, and next week she’s flying over here and staying with me for two weeks. |
| Lee: | Well done! Ask if she has any good-looking friends she can bring with her. |
