「Take it out on」
「人に～しないように強く説得する」という意味です。
前回ご紹介した“Talk me into doing”は “～することを強く説得する”という意味でした。今回は「into doing」ではなく、「out of doing」ですので前回とは逆の意味、“「～しないように」強く説得する”となります。
Meaning:To strongly persuade someone to not do something.
Example:I have tried to talk Wayne out of quitting his job at the bank. I think it would be a big mistake!

日常会話での疑問文には、ネイティブは文の一部を省略したイエス／ノー・クエスションをよく使用します。このとき、時制は会話の流れから判断されます。
左に並べられている疑問文の頭にくる単語は、しばしば会話の中では省略されます。これらに続くと思われる後半部分を左側から選び、ドラッグして、左の正解の単語の上でドロップしてください。正解なら文がそのまま配置されます。

省略疑問文が多数出てきます。上記の設問で習った表現に注意しながら、以下の会話を聞いてみましょう。

| David: | Yeah, great. Went back to England and saw all the family and a few friends. Yours good as well? |
| Clive: | Just lazed around in Tokyo this time. Didn’t do a great deal really. Able to watch any football games while you were back? |
| David: | Yes, loads. Tottenham were pretty poor, as per usual! Going back home this year? |
| Clive: | No plans as yet, but I know that my parents will be pretty upset if I don’t visit them at some point. Haven’t seen them in over four years now. |
| David: | They in good health? My father is really starting to show his age now. |
| Clive: | My father’s fine, but my mother needs to have another operation on her back. She’s in constant pain, and my father finds it hard looking after her on his own. |
| David: | No-one else around that can help out? |
| Clive: | My younger sister helps out when she can, but apart from her everyone else lives up the other end of the country or overseas. Anyway, enough of that. Get me any souvenirs? |
| David: | I brought back a suitcase-full of chocolate. Have any preference? I’ve got all the favourites. |
| Clive: | Anything is fine, cheers. |
