“Make a pass at...”
<英語でdefinition!> Talk to a man or woman with the intention of dating them.
ここでの"pass"は、「色目」という意味です。"Make a pass"は「ナンパする」「言い寄る」というイディオムで、at以下に言い寄る対象を付け加えることができます。
ちなみに"pass"には、アメフトなど球技の際に「パスを出す」という際の「パス」の意味もあります。状況/文脈によっては、"make a pass"は、「（球技の最中に）パスを出す」という意味にもなります。
例文 I am sure that man with the dark blue shirt made a pass at me. He was constantly complementing my appearance.

| Director: | OK. How about Linesite? Their linking of our site to all our subsidiary sites seems like a good way to channel extra customers our way. Furthermore, their wording of the website content is more appropriate than the other two. |
| Chairman: | Their including of a translation function on every page has meant that their costs would be higher than the other two, though. |
| Director: | But not significantly higher, so it’s rather a moot point when you consider that the translation of our site will indirectly lead to sales from overseas customers that otherwise would be denied to us. |
| Chairman: | Can their translations be done on demand? I don’t remember their saying that. |
| Director: | They have a history of translation for websites, so they have their own team of translators in-house, which means no delays. |
